Eclipse range boosted by overseas support

The Eclipse range of high performance imaging products for the Australian photographic and signage markets received a major boost by the recent visit by US media specialist and product developer, Charta Group’s Ralph Roessler.

Roessler observed that high performance imaging was undergoing constant development with the DES Pty. Ltd. distributed Eclipse range of fine art substrates and signage products evolving via aqueous, solvent, latex and UV canvasses for a wide series of applications.

“Printing photographs on canvass calls for the highest possible quality materials, obviously at a competitive price,” he said. “If you have to reject 5%-10% of your production output, that’s impacting your bottom line. The higher the quality of the material, the greater the improvement to the bottom line."

He also noted that the discerning standards of the high-end art segment of consumer demand for high-quality substrates is benefitting from the use of more hydroscopically stable polycotton  “In a climate like Australia’s with large changes in humidity, it means there are no wrinkles in the finished stretched product regardless of the humidity.”
